Ruby Watts

Ruby Watts is a lighting company selling a collection of vintage lights. Each one of the lights have been safely re-wired with contemporary wiring, and have been PAT tested to British standards; they wire like any modern light. The Ruby Watts collection consists of one-off pieces, each with a story, a past and a future.

Launched in 2015 by two sisters, Clarissa Marks and Carolyne Lynn, Ruby Watts began as a stall in a small local village barn. The sisters had an eye for buying unique and stylish interior pieces, lighting being their main focus, which quickly attracted a crowd of interior designers, creatives and all round design-lovers. The business soon expanded, and a need for a bigger premises saw them join the local high street in 2015. This move prompted the arrival of Sophia Marks, who joined the team to help take Ruby Watts to the next level. We are now in our third premises, and are continuing to grow.

All of our lights at Ruby Watts are authentic and unique statement items. We offer a diverse collection of timeless pieces, showcasing products that date back to the 19th century. Each product is made using a step-by-step process, carried out by trained and talented craftsmen, ensuring that they are well-made and of very high quality. This hand-finished process allows the craftsmen to achieve the intricate details that make our products individual.

Good lighting makes a house into a home; conversely,the horror of glaring, badly placed lights and nasty fittings can ruin the effect of your carefully selected decor and furniture.

Many retailers have woken up to these, and it's now easy to buy good lighting in many places.
But this welcome revolution has brought up a new problem - sameyness! Which then goes hand in hand with lack of inspiration - and you find yourself putting up, and putting up with, lights that 'will do' because they're just fine and give a decent light.
But Ruby Watts knows that you're better than that!  And they're better than most at crafting truly unique and special lighting pieces that will completely enhance your home.  We love them!

We carefully check and test all stock before sending to the recipient.

Getting your goods to you swiftly and safely is of utmost importance to us. That's why we entrust our deliveries with carefully selected couriers. It is also why we ask that your order be signed for upon delivery.

UK shipping will be received within 3-5 working days, unless otherwise stated. These items are fully insured and are shipped with tracking numbers via our designated courier. In most cases, a signature will be required upon delivery.

Alternatively, customers are always welcome to collect their purchases from us directly.

Refund Policy

If returning a product, please contact Ruby Watts, 01273 567080 or to begin the process, we will provide advice and assistance for the safest and most affordable return system.

Our refund and exchange policy will be unique to each situation.

All of our items are thoroughly checked by our team to ensure that there are no functional issues with any part of the product before we fulfill a sale.
We understand that making a purchase online is not easy when you haven't seen or examined the goods. As a result of this, we have provided meticulous detail for each of our products. We are very happy to discuss items in more detail with you and, if required, will provide more information on the condition of the product, along with additional photographs. Please do contact us for more details, if you are unsure, before making a purchase.

We want you to be pleased with your purchase however, if you are unhappy with it, we would like you to get in touch with us.

When packaging your order, we always ensure that every product receives special care and attention. In accordance with UK mail, we test every parcel we are sending out to ensure that there are no breakages whilst in transit. If for any reason, your product arrives in a non-working state, please call us to arrange a potential refund or exchange. We cannot be liable for any damage that occurs to the product whilst in your possession.

All items must be returned within 14 days of the date that the item was delivered in order to be eligible for an exchange. To complete your exchange, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

The item must be packaged in accordance to UK Mail packaging guidelines and using all packaging that the item came with when delivered to you.

There are certain situations where only partial exchanges can be granted. This applies where any item, not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, or any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery.

Refunds (if applicable)
 Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the status of your request. 
If your request is approved, your refund will be processed in credit through your account within a certain amount of days.

Sale items (if applicable)

Unfortunately, we cannot exchange sale items. Only regular priced items may be exchanged, pending eligibility.

Please repack the item with care utilising, where possible, the original packaging that you received your item in. We must stress that if the item arrives damaged we can not except the return, and will not be able to credit your account.

You will be responsible for paying for your own return shipping costs.

All returns using postal methods must be sent using a trackable shipping service, or purchasing shipping insurance. We can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
